The Funplex - Rack Cards, Billboards, and Cafe Tray Liners
Objective:
To create a series of print and out-of-home advertising materials that effectively promote various offerings at Funplex, including hotel openings, new attractions, corporate packages, and special events.
Design Approach:
Rack Cards: Stay and Play Hotel Opening: Designed a rack card to advertise the launch of the Funplex's Stay and Play hotel, highlighting the convenience and fun of staying on-site.
New Waterpark Attraction: Developed a rack card to promote the newest addition to the Funplex waterpark, showcasing the excitement and adventure of the new attraction.
Corporate Packages: Created a detailed rack card to advertise Funplex's corporate packages, providing a clear overview of the various options available for corporate events at the park.
Billboards:
Cut-Out Billboard: Designed a standout cut-out billboard featuring a green water slide and a girl on a water tube. This design became one of my proudest achievements, as it was displayed on I-95 N in Philadelphia for two consecutive summers, capturing the attention of countless commuters.
Additional Billboards: Created several other billboard designs to promote various park attractions and events, ensuring high visibility and engagement with the target audience.
Display Stand Rack Card Holders: One for the Spring Season, highlighting outdoor fun and attractions, and another showcasing the new waterpark attraction opening.
Cafe Tray Linears:
Hotel Opening, Birthday Parties, and Corporate Events: Developed tray liners for the park's cafes, advertising the hotel opening, birthday party packages, and corporate events to guests as they dined.
Funplex After Dark, Members Events, and Souvenir Cup Offers: Designed additional tray liners to promote the popular "Funplex After Dark" event, exclusive members' events, and special offers on souvenir cups, enhancing the in-park experience.
Results:
Increased Awareness: The rack cards and billboards effectively promoted key offerings at the Funplex, leading to increased interest and participation in events, attractions, and packages.
Memorable Advertising: The cut-out billboard design stood out as a unique and memorable advertisement, successfully capturing the attention of a large audience over multiple summers.
Enhanced Guest Engagement: The tray liners added value to the guest experience, providing useful information and promoting ongoing events and offers within the park.
Conclusion: This project allowed me to design effective advertising materials for a wide audience. By creating eye-catching rack cards, billboards, and tray liners, I helped promote the Funplex's key attractions and events. The designs successfully drew attention and enhanced the overall experience for guests at the park.
